Question: Describe about the Introduction To Hospitality And Tourism? Answer: Introduction: This assignment deals with the tourism industry of Perth of Australia. It is the largest city of West Australia. This place is assembled with various tourism opportunities, like shopping, entertainment, cultural activities, various attractive spots etc (About, 2015). First section of this assignment discusses the market place of tourism job within Perth. Therefore, second section deals with my job description and demonstration of job related advertisements of various medium. Employment rates in Perth: As stated by (Filep, 2014) employment rate helps to focus upon the socio economic condition of the particular country. Department of Employment in Australia has derived the rate of unemployment by the help of ABS labor force Survey and Centre link Data. The rate of unemployment rate in Perth is 6.28% (www.economy.id.com.au, 2015). Therefore, low rate of unemployment indicates that there are ample of job situation in the market place of Perth. Unemployment rate here has been analyzed with the number of labor force who wants to get a job (Australia, 2015). Types of employment opportunities: There are various kinds of jobs within tourism and hospitality sector. Designations of jobs are Guest Services Agent, qualified Chefs and high skilled cooks, floor manager, store managers, area manager, caf manager, chefs, customer service, bar manager, caf attendants etc (Travelindustrycareers.org, 2015 ). Moreover, Beck et al. (2009) has analyzed that; Perth has ample demand of caf manager, cooks, quality chefs etc. One can enjoy his/her career as restaurant manager, floor manager, customer service agent, corporate guest service supervisors, chefs etc restaurant related service. Trends of market place: Australia has an increased share of market within the tourism sector among the world. Economy of Western Australia is mainly based on the tourism sector. Market value of the tourism industry in Western Australia is $ 6.32 billion. More than 80,000 people are employed directly and indirectly to the tourism industry of Western Australia. Therefore Camprubi et al. (2014) stated that, employment rate in this region is very high as many people are associated with job of tourism sector. Trends in tourism in Perth: This is the capital of Western Australia. It has immense growth within tourism sector. Perth is one of the major destinations of tourism in Australia. Various types of cultural as well as community assets are present there within the city of Perth (Perth.wa.gov.au, 2015). Quantity of international tourists has been increased by 10 % in the present year. Foreign visitors spent 34.4 million in the place of Western Australia. Main attractions of this place are Kings Park, West Australian Museum, Art Gallery, The Bell Tower, The Perth Mint etc (Tourism.wa.gov.au, 2015). Areas those need to be accessed for the job advertisements: I have searched newspapers and online job seeker websites in order to find relevant jobs on tourisms sector of my homeland Perth. I have also taken the help of finding related job from the nonprofit organization of Australia, named Travel Industry Career Association (Profile.id.com.au, 2015). As stated by (Jackson (2010), internet technology has become the fastest provider of all sorts of information. I have followed several types of job websites in order to find the relevant and current job opportunity in Perth (Travelindustrycareers.org, 2015). However, Travel Industry Career Association has helped me to find and understand the job opportunity with profound analysis as well as investigation. I have got various types of relevant information about recruitment agencies, career advisors, and internship of my area of expertise from the official website of Travel Industry Career Association. On the other hand, Tourism Australia has also helped me to search jobs on the basis of my requirements. Discussion of job advertisements: These job advertisements have delivered the prior necessity of job. I have mainly checked the advertisements on various job portals. These advertisements are made with detail information on the requirements of the job of hotels. Job of floor manager, customer service and chefs for hotel are the most common jobs for this area (Jobs.com.au, 2015). Therefore, all these advertisements are based on the basic requirements of those organizations (Jobseeker.com.au, 2015). Job description: As per the demands of various tourism organizations that I have followed regularly in various job websites, I have understood that I will be capable for doing a job of customer service including guest service. I have been very committed towards my duties and responsibilities. I have chosen customer service as my specific area of expertise as because I have also done my internship on customer service from an airport. Therefore, I think that I will be able to deliver my skills as an excellent customer service agent for a hotel or other related area. I can communicate with various sorts of people in a very quick manner. I always try to maintain the ethics of guest relation. I am flexible to work within a team. Therefore, I am best suited for this job within this industry. My preferred location is Perth and any other place of Western Australia. Explaining my job description: Customer service is a communication centric job. Therefore, I choose this job as because my communication skill is high and effective for this particular job. I can maintain the relation with the guests or customers of the hotel. I will check the facilities of customers. Their problem will be sorted out by me as per the capacity of hotel and mine. I will require proper training of hotel management. In this region, lists of foreign guests are increasing. Therefore, in order to maintain effective relation with those guests, high quality and skilled customer service labors are employed by various hotels of this particular region. I can communicate well and can also maintain effective interaction with concerned persons. Therefore, I will be able to sort out the problems of guests by maintaining effective communication. I also know some foreign languages. I have done hotel management course. I have also done foreign language courses. Conclusion: This assignment has dealt with the job market trends and tourism trends of Perth, Australia.
